A child died and another was hurt when a black BMW i40 was driven onto the pitch at Kendal Rugby Club on Shap Road, Cumbria. Paramedics helped the hurt child at the scene of the crash. The driver, a man in his 40s, was arrested and charged with having caused death by dangerous driving. The police have said that there are no signs of terrorism connected to this single event.
