Renowned British actor Simon Fisher-Becker, known for his parts in “Harry Potter” and “Doctor Who,” has died at the age of 63. His agency, Kim Barry of Jaffrey Management, confirmed his death by expressing great regret at the loss of not just a client but also a close personal friend of fifteen years on Facebook.
Beyond these historic performances, Fisher-Becker proved his adaptability in a range of British television programs, including “One Foot in the Grave,” “The Bill,” ” Doctors,” “Love Soup,” and “Afterlife.” Additionally, he took part in the 2012 Academy Award-winning film “Les Misérables”.
Born in London on November 25, 1961, Fisher-Becker has had a remarkable career in theatre, television, and films. His performance of the resident ghost of Fat Friar, Hufflepuff House, in “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” (2001) gained him fame.
He also grabbed fans as Dorium Maldovar, the blue-skinned cosmic black marketeer, in the BBC’s “Doctor Who” series, which starred Matt Smith as the Doctor.
